What personal information we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

You can contact us using our contact form , stating your email address. Your request will be transferred to our mailbox and processed. We delete the inquiries if they are no longer required to be saved. We review the requirement every two years. The statutory archiving obligations also apply.

We expressly point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) has security gaps and cannot be completely protected against access by third parties.

If you enter your e-mail address in the newsletter, this e-mail address will initially be temporarily stored by us. The e-mail address is only stored for the purpose of sending the owner of the e-mail address an e-mail in which he can confirm membership in the e-mail list ("double opt-in") . If the e-mail address has been confirmed, it will be stored permanently with the list provider until the e-mail address is deleted by the owner of the e-mail address or by us as the list operator. In order to be able to prove the entry in the list and to be able to defend against any accusation of unsolicited e-mail, the list provider stores the date of entry in the list and the IP address under which the entry was made. We have no influence on the storage of the IP address, and we hereby expressly point out the storage of the IP address. Important: The IP address is not used beyond this.

Newsletter - cancellation / revocation

You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time, ie revoke your consent. A link to cancel the newsletter can be found at the end of each newsletter. We can save the unsubscribed e-mail addresses for up to three years on the basis of our legitimate interests before we delete them in order to be able to prove a previously given consent. The processing of this data is limited to the purpose of a possible defense against claims. An individual request for deletion is possible at any time, provided that the former existence of a consent is confirmed at the same time.

Newsletter - success measurement

The newsletters contain a so-called "web beacon", ie a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from our server when the newsletter is opened or, if we use a shipping service provider, its server. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval, are initially collected.

This information is used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined with the help of the IP address) or the access times. The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our aim nor, if used, that of the shipping service provider to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this website can contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website. This also transfers the IP address to other websites.

These websites can collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking services and record your interaction with this embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content, if you have an account and are logged into the third-party website.

YouTube videos (provider: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) are embedded via WP YouTube Lyte. The preview image is delivered from our server (hagebüte.de). No cookies are set by YouTube here. Click on the play icon to load and start the video. From this point on, you allow YouTube to collect information about you (including through cookies)

Collection of access data and log files

We, or our hosting provider, collect data on every access to the server on which this service is located (so-called server log files) on the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. The access data includes the name of the accessed website, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page) and the requesting provider.

For security reasons (e.g. to investigate acts of abuse or fraud), log file information is stored for a maximum of 4 weeks and then deleted. Data, the further storage of which is necessary for evidence purposes, are excluded from deletion until the respective incident has been finally clarified.

Where your data is processed

We only process your data on servers in Germany at the providers Hetzner (hosting and e-mail inbox)

Hosting

The hosting services we use serve to provide the following services: Infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services and technical maintenance services that we use for the purpose of operating this online offer.

We or our hosting provider process inventory data, contact data, content data, usage data, meta and communication data from visitors and users of this online offer on the basis of our legitimate interests in an efficient and secure provision of this online offer in accordance with Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. GDPR in conjunction with Art. 28 GDPR (conclusion of an order processing contract).

How long we keep your data

Unless expressly stated in this data protection declaration, the data stored by us will be kept for as long as is necessary for its intended purpose or deletion does not conflict with any statutory retention requirements.

What rights you have to your data

You can request an export of your personal data from us at any time, including all data that you have communicated to us, as well as a transfer of the data to other responsible parties (according to Art. 15 & 20 GDPR).

correction

You have the right to complete or correct the data processed by us and concerning you (in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR).

deletion

In addition, you can request the deletion of all personal data that we have stored about you. This does not include the data that we have to keep due to administrative, legal or security-related needs (according to Art. 17 & 18 GDPR).
